Dan has over 15 years of experience managing and leading multiple successful businesses in a wide range of industries including a consulting firm that provided professional training services for Fortune 100 companies, an independently owned and operated oil and gas drilling company and a startup drug development company. Since joining our team in 2011, Dan has assumed responsibility for the management and coordination of operations for ongoing projects in the private ventures and private equity divisions of the company. Dan also provides support to our advisory firm (FO Advisors, LLC) and energy company (FO Energy, LLC).
Dan earned his Bachelor of Science at Walsh University in 1994 and his Doctorate at the University of Akron in 1999.

John serves as the President of FO Advisors, LLC and has over 15 years of experience in advising closely-held businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, and affluent individuals with respect to the acquisition, structuring, financing, succession, and divestiture of a variety of business enterprises. During this time, John has particularly focused upon determining the appropriate planning for all involved individuals and the effective implementation of the selected planning measures. John also advises our energy company (FO Energy, LLC), and is a partner in the Lensman & Associates, Ltd. law firm.
John earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Bowling Green State University in 1995 and his Juris Doctor at the University of Akron in 1998. He is also licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and the United States District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

John joined the company in 2007 and serves as the President of FO Energy, LLC. For the two years prior to joining the company, John was a Senior Geologist for EnerVest Operating LLC where he was the team leader for Ohio MLP drilling programs. Prior to joining EnerVest, he was the Vice President of Exploration at Belden & Blake Corporation where he was part of a team that conducted multiple geologic studies and drilling programs that resulted in the drilling of more than 120 successful Knox and Trenton Formation wells, including the discovery of several key oil and gas fields in Ohio and New York.
John earned his Bachelor of Science in Geology from Muskingum College and also has a Master of Science in Geology from Kent State University. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists as well as a member of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association.

As the company's Controller, Debra is responsible for the internal accounting, compliance, and reporting for the company, subsidiaries, and private ventures. She also oversees the company's administration. Debra has over 23 years of accounting experience, of which 10 years was in public accounting with a regional accounting firm. She also worked in the private sector for a Fortune 500 company and taught Accounting at Stark State College on a part-time basis. While in public accounting, Debra provided auditing, financial reporting, and taxation services for various businesses and individuals doing business in a variety of industries.
Debra graduated Summa Cum Laude from Walsh University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and with "High Distinction" from Stark State College with an Associate Degree in Accounting. She attempted and passed all parts of the November 1989 Certified Public Accountant Examination.

Melissa has over 29 years of experience in administrative, marketing, and legal capacities. She currently serves as the firm's Services and Marketing Manager. In this capacity, Melissa is responsible for overseeing the firm's marketing efforts and the effective provision of services. In addition, she is also involved in the firm's administration and management.
Prior to joining the firm, she was a legal assistant and client relations coordinator for a large firm in Ohio and also served in the United States Army. While in the Army, Melissa received her Advanced Individual Training as a Legal Clerk, where she graduated with honors. She also has her Notary Public Certification and is an Associate Member with the Stark County Bar Association.

Todd focuses on advising clients with regard to the legal aspects of structuring and implementing wealth transfer planning, business succession, estate planning, oil and gas leasing and business law. Todd is also a certified public accountant and spent two years as an associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Federal and International Tax division. Todd is also an associate with the Lensman & Associates, Ltd. law firm.
Todd earned his Bachelor of Science in General Studies at the University of Dayton in 1993 and his Juris Doctor at the University of Toledo in 1996. He also earned his Masters of Taxation degree in 1998 from the University of Akron and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Barbara is the company's Accounting Manager and assists the Controller with internal accounting and reporting. Barbara has over 20 years of accounting experience working both as a corporate accountant in the private business sector as well as a staff accountant for a local accounting service. In her various positions, she has implemented accounting software packages, performed internal control audits, and created new company policies and procedures. She has also been responsible for the presentation of financial information to business owners and Boards of Directors. Throughout her career, she has provided general accounting services, administrative support and technical support for businesses in various industries.
Barbara graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1985.

Patti is a Client Relationship Manager and focuses on investment administration and related services. In this position, she coordinates and provides information to and corresponds with investors and clients on a regular basis. Patti is also responsible for coordinating the wealth management activities for the firm's principals. Patti brings a wealth of experience to the firm, as she previously spent 23 years with JPMorgan, where her activities included responsibility in every operational function of the trust and wealth management departments.

Alisa joined the company in 2012 and currently serves as the Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining the firm, Alisa gained extensive experience in the areas of customer service, networking, and administrative functions. As the Administrative Assistant, Alisa provides a variety of staff support services, orders office supplies, maintains calendars, organizes filing systems, answers phones, distributes mail, and provides other general office support.
Over the years, Alisa has volunteered her time and service to various community organizations and is actively involved in church-related missions.
